15+ Best Rewards Systems for Employees (2024)

Are you looking for a cloud-based HRIS (human resource information system) and struggling to see how one might outperform another? I've looked at dozens of HRIS's before I finally found one that stands out to me: GoCo.

Cookie Cutter Choices

It takes a trained eye to spot the subtle differences between employee management platforms. Unless you’re an HR tech specialist, you’re unlikely to have the ultra-niche skills needed to quickly identify critical features and workflows hiding behind the user interface.

But as long as people like me fill the HR tech ultra-niche, there’s no need to spend your time or brain space learning this.

Between my direct experience as an HR pro and what I’ve learned writing and editing reviews, I’ve personally researched, used, and demoed dozens upon dozens of HRIS software platforms. And in the six years SelectSoftware Reviews has been around, we’ve assessed more than 5,000 HR software platforms.

I was caught off guard when I sat down with GoCo’s all-in-one HR platform for the first time. I’ve seen a lot of products that do little more than repackage the same HRIS features and sell them under a new name. I expected GoCo to be another cookie-cutter employee management software solution.

I’m not afraid to admit I was wrong. I’m just a little embarrassed to admit how excited I was to be wrong.

What surprised me most about GoCo is the consistency in quality across all features. I have a standardized method and look for a set of key features when assessing integrated HR tech. In my experience, most platforms can do a couple of things well, but there’s always a trade-off: for every feature that exceeds an expectation, there’s another that doesn’t come close.

Among HRISs, GoCo is like a straight-A student: a genuine software phenom, an all-in-one prodigy and bonafide digital polymath.

Let’s get to know the “whiz kid” of HR automation along with the criteria used in my assessment.

Five Reasons GoCo Stands Out

GoCo has achieved a rare balance: it’s all-in-one without being one size fits all. For teams of 10-200, it offers everything you need without the compromises you dread. For example, if you want to keep your payroll system but need to streamline your benefits administration, they can do that.

Each feature below demonstrates how this platform outperforms the competition in technical standards and people-focused design.

1. High-Touch Support:

Client success is their primary differentiator. Not only do they offer phone and email support, GoCo guarantees a response in four hours or less. Each customer is assigned a dedicated training specialist to guide your HR team through implementation. In addition to the ongoing support of your training specialist, your employees can get direct support from client success analysts.

2. Highly Rated by Multiple Sources:

Occasionally, a mediocre workforce management tool mysteriously “earns” a glowing review. We discount these anomalies, but we take note when rave reviews are broadcast across multiple channels. Forbes named GoCo “The Best HR Software for Your Business,” and G2 consistently recognizes them for “Best Support,” “Fastest Implementation,” and “Most Likely to Recommend.”

To verify the consensus, we ran a simple experiment. We asked ChatGPT to collect all GoCo reviews from G2 and Capterra. Next, we asked it to find every example of positive sentiment expressed in the same or similar phrases by users from both sites.

Long/nerdy story short, it checks out! This product rates highly across multiple sources.

The experiment also proved that I felt validated when I saw other users' views of the tool echoed by mine.

3. Onboarding Automation:

GoCo's onboarding feature is HR automation at its finest. It does (and automates!) all the things.  This includes things like running background checks, sending offer letters, and creating new user accounts for internal tools. It can create email and Slack accounts, schedule orientation and training, and even introduce the new hire to the team. Between the automated features and the self-service options, the GoCo onboarding process is as simple as can be.

These slick automations don’t drop off after onboarding. Throughout the platform, hands-free employee management and AI assistance appear precisely where you hope they will, from reporting to templates to dashboards and databases.

4. Thoughtfully Efficient:

You can tell the people at GoCo know their way around an HR workflow. It’s evident in the architecture: the operational logic and workflows reflect the intuition of a product team equally concerned with efficiency demands and user experience.

As noted, this software does all the things. In other words, as an all-in-one tool, it automates the entire set of foundational HR functions that do not require a human touch. Commitment to efficiency? Check. Commitment to efficiency that enables humans to focus on human-only tasks? Check. It even automates employee documents like I-9 forms and has e-signature functionality!

By weaving AI throughout the framework, GoCo elevates the capacity of the tech and the people who oversee it. Healthier, happier, more productive teams? Check.

The apex of efficiency and humanity is GoCo’s AI knowledge base feature. It enables employees to use ChatGPT as a language-loving tool to search your company data rapidly. Which data? All the data. Questions like, “What is our leave policy?” no longer require human intelligence to be wasted digging through employee records or company handbooks.

5. It’s Affordable For Any Size Business:

Starting at only $5 monthly per employee, GoCo is well worth the investment. Plus, the team at GoCo is extending a special offer to SelectSoftware Reviews readers! Follow this link to book your demo and get free implementation (save up to $2,000)!
