During our assessments of Robert Walters, we were impressed by the extensive experience and expertise the company brings to the table. With a strong presence in the financial services sector and a diverse range of offerings, it’s clear throughout our tech tests how adept this company is at delivering tailored global and regional RPO solutions.
One initiative that stood out to us during our testing was the Autism at Work program, which gives clients access to neuro-diverse candidates. It was inspiring to see their commitment to inclusivity in action. Plus, their Hire, Train, Deploy, and Early Careers programs did a great job of building pipelines for both seasoned pros and fresh talent.
Flexibility is another area where we felt Robert Walters truly excels. Compared to our previous interactions with their RPO services a few years back, it was refreshing to see how agile they could align their outsourcing and recruitment practices, which would make it much easier for clients who need a broader and more adaptable range of solutions.
For the data-driven practitioner, we found Robert Walters’ intelligence tool RW Insights to be super useful. It provides real-time, actionable data, including talent maps detailing availability, attrition rates, pay benchmarks, and diversity metrics.
As we tested this tool further, the talent mapping feature allowed us to explore pay rate benchmarks and gender diversity metrics, which we imagine would significantly help companies refine their hiring strategies.
Unlike ADP, which keeps things all in-house for recruitment, payroll, and compliance (leading to a humble list of third-party integrations), Robert Walters mixes it up by allowing both in-house and third-party tools, and that’s where more flexibility is offered.
You can stick with what's already included in their RPO software or integrate whatever you’re currently using. Plus, the dedicated integration support is a nice touch. The person we worked with was knowledgeable and made the whole process feel easy.
When comparing Robert Walters to competitors like AMS, which also has strong DEI recruitment initiatives, we noticed that Robert Walters sets itself apart by placing a greater emphasis on filling highly experienced, hard-to-fill roles in industries like tech, pharma, and engineering. This does mean, though, that if you’re mainly looking to hire entry-level staff, their services might be a bit much for what you need.
Pricing-wise, similar to Cielo, Robert Walters don’t disclose their rate cards. But according to our digging, it can be quite pricey if you’re part of a smaller team with under 1,000 employees.
